Solo Performance 4-6pm at Sync SUMMER SOLSTICE ARTSPOT - JUNE 24, 9 AM - 9 PM @ SYLVAN THIRTY
In the spirit of street festivals everywhere, audiences at Summer Solstice Artspot will encounter performers in unexpected places. Instead of performing on stages, we will bring the artists in direct contact with the audience. It is family-friendly and will be free to attend. We want everyone in the community to have a chance to experience a wide variety of professional artists in music, dance, theater, poetry, and more, with an emphasis on new works by emerging artists.
Over the Bridge Arts is a new nonprofit founded by three performing artists who are residents of Oak Cliff. Our goal is to support the performing and visual arts of our area through performance and educational opportunities, and to build an audience for local artists.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Morning Activities 9 am - noon: Summer Solstice Opening Ceremony + Yoga class led by Sync Yoga. Kids dance class led by Over the Bridge Arts + Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet performance on the CiboDivino lawn .
Noon: Lunchtime! We encourage all participants to enjoy food & drinks at Sylvan 30 businesses!
Afternoon Activities noon - 6 pm: HOUNDSTOOTH: Live music, food & drink tastings, Summer Solstice coffee specials, Art Exhibit and Silent Auction. TACO DELI: Children's art activities, performances indoors. SYNC YOGA: Performances + Meet the Artists
Evening Activities 6 - 8 pm: Front patio reception at Houndstooth & Jettison featuring: Silent auction , Food samples , Summer Solstice cocktails for purchase + Live music
